Once in a while you are fortunate enough to be wowed to the extent that you have complete trust in a person’s competence from the start. Thank you Debbie, for helping complete our dream kitchen renovation and the rest of your artisan work exactly how we had anticipated.
We loved the kitchen mural and faux terra cotta foyer finish AND distressed finish on our pantry that Debbie did for us. She is remarkable in her talent as well as personality. We were ‘wowed’ from the minute we saw her work at the Malibu Diner in NYC and the feeling was reinforced on her website. We also have ‘Sandy Beach’ floor tiles Debbie perfectly matched up on the mural so it feels that the beach surrounds you in the kitchen!
I just want to add that I am one of your biggest fans, Debbie. I know it sounds corny but your faux finish in the Malibu, a commercial diner in NYC, showed so much sensitivity, attention and love, that it totally grabbed my attention and I then went on my own little trek to locate you. I know how plain that diner looked like in the 80′s and 90′s. Since you worked at the Malibu the owner is refinishing the front walls in the Malibu again which I think is a terrible mistake on his part. His employees, whom I spoke with, are all disappointed.
With the risk of slightly embarrassing you I want anybody to know that you are a special talent and special lady with a special back story for those who chance to follow a dream and realize it. I know you are modest to your accomplishments but what you have done is nothing short of awesome and I wish you all the success and publicity that you deserve:))
Thank you so much for your diligence, vigilance and patience.
Your pictures don’t do your work justice. This is truly awesome.

Thank you for a gloriously successful Historic Designer Show House. I have received many compliments, notably from people who are involved in historical societies and restoration, on the job you did with Malcolm House.

In my 26 years of being in the contracting industry, I have seen plenty of faux finishes. But your work is the first I have seen where the colors you chose match so perfectly, and the finish you created is so blended and natural looking.
I just wanted to thank you again for the amazing work you did on our hallway and accent wall; I absolutely LOVE it!!! The defining moment was when my husband walked in and said “wow, that is really amazing!” You really did a beautiful job; I can’t wait to find more walls for you to cover!! It has truly exceeded my expectations. I could just sit here and stare at the walls all day.
I am so thankful that you were able to transform my dated, white Formica bathroom vanities into gorgeous pieces of furniture. No one can believe they used to be Formica!! You also helped me avoid the huge mess of having them ripped out and dragged down the steps and out of my house. I didn’t have to hire a plumber either!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
In my twenty-five years of being an interior designer, I have worked with many faux finishers. I have to say that I never have seen so many innovative and creative finishes as you have created. The rooms you have created for my clients are simply extraordinary.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!
The faux painting that you did for us in many areas of our home far, far exceeded our expectations. Each room came out spectacular – especially the dining room. We still can’t believe it’s our home – a perfect job!!
From day one you were a pleasure to work with. That combined with your professionalism and efficiency was truly unbelievable. Once again thank you for all you’ve created.

You should know that Debbie is an honest, talented and experienced faux finisher and muralist. She and I have worked on many jobs together and there has always been only positive feedback about her work and her demeanor from our mutual clients and Interior Designers. All the work is truly beautiful and I recommend her on a weekly basis. She loves to create and does so with pride and expertise. The variety of her finishes are impressive since she regularly continues her education throughout the USA. I am confident you would be pleased with a decision to use Debbie on your job.

Debbie just completed two rooms in my new home and they came out absolutely stunning. She did a lusterstone faux finish in my living room which is beautiful and created a warm, rich look in our master bedroom with a Venetian plaster. Working with Debbie was like a breath of fresh air — she was very professional and had an ample array of samples to choose from. She worked with us to figure out the best way to complement our furniture and the rest of our style in the home and then created gorgeous finishes. She was efficient, punctual, pleasant and above all else, completely professional. I highly recommend Something Different by Debbie Viola. Even my picky husband who isn’t too thrilled by the thought of decorating found Debbie’s work to be superb! Our next project is for her to do a mural in our dining room.
I just have to tell you how much I love what you did. You are truly a very talented person. Every time I pass my door I have this big smile on my face. I guess as you know I really put a lot of thought into my house and designing, the colors that you put on the door were breathtaking and the flowers and the tile work was amazing. Your really captured the Tuscan feeling. You have a lot of vision and that only comes naturally. I guess you know you can’t learn that in a class. Again, thank you for all the thought and time you put into this project. It’s PERFECT.
Til the next project!

We (the Pediatric Emergency Room Staff) want to thank you so much for your time and effort in painting the wonderful ceiling tiles. Your talent has brought new light to our rooms and has given our patients and incredible use of their imagination. The use of distraction in the Pediatric Emergency Room is often the success of getting a procedure done, and with your talent and creative abilities – the ceiling tiles have been a great use as a distraction tool for us. Caring for a sick or injured child is always a challenge, but being able to share a bit of happiness, and to see the faces of the children light up as they walk into the room is the greatest gift of all. We are very grateful for all that you have done for us and look forward to working with you in the future.
